McKenna never thought she’d find love, let alone find a man like Oak. She wants a to build a future with him. If only she wasn’t getting weaker every day. Oak mentions seeking help from the High King, but McKenna doesn’t want to be the cause of his disclosure.

 

If Oak throws himself on the mercy of the High King he’ll have to face the fallout of hundreds of years of lies. He’ll also be confronted with the possibility of the very thing that made him fake his death. War is on the horizon and if he steps back into the courts he’ll have to face that too.
